Arjun Rampal. Attempted to capture his classic, symmetric and fine boned silhouette. Wish the pencil could englove his sensuous voicel.

Milind Soman. The original supermodel. Athletic, suave and comfortable in his skin …and such stunning tawny skin!

Rahul Roy. Aashiqui boy. Unusual face. Lean, sculpted – and in striking contrast with the fine floppy hair.
Of course, the term ‘Actors’ may be seriously debated in some of the above. Yet, it was a pleasure to pencil them down to paper.
Drop me your feedback!

Simply loved these sketches. No other words to describe it. Best is Milind Soman. You are super talented Sweety.

Aww, thank you so much! I also like how he has aged gracefully. I mean, he lives healthy with his marathon races, he was a national swimmer, doesn’t drink or smoke and lives a quietly productive life. Its nice to know such aspects attached to an attractive face.

Yes, he lived life on his own terms and is ageing gracefully too.

Yes, especially when we compare him to recent so-called glamorous faces which are blatantly anti-social and criminal.

Yes, she symbolized OUR generation’s Aashiqui, Kumar Sanu and lilting music. She used to be a heart throb for my brother. Last I heard, she’s totally into Yoga and meditation following a brutal vehicular accident.

Yes, while Rahul Roy was ridiculed for his hairstyle. But of course, the music remained the undisputed superstar of that film.
My favs remain ‘Ab tere bin’, ‘nazar ke saamne’ and ‘dheere dheere se’.

She’s always been my favorite. I saw her way back in Amity perfumes ad, which preceded the famous Pepsi ad. Then she came as chief guest for our med college’s annual festival. Dressed in white shirt and blue jeans, she looked like a dream.
Its only later that she went onto Miss India, Miss World contests.

Superb sketches all, Sweety, each carrying the hallmark of your talent. Anu Agrawal, a rage of yesteryears, had faded from memory, mine that is, yet your portrait literally brought her features to life, refreshing old memories. By the time I connected with you through wp, I had already moved out from Mumbai, post my superannuation, or else I would have sought you out to get a sketch of mine. Be well with all your capabilities…best wishes.

Oh, such kind words, Sir!
Anu had amazingly chiseled features. Unconventional for a Bollywood actress, but perfect for international modelling.
She has , of late, completely withdrawn into Yoga and Meditation after an accident left her comatose.
Thankfully, technology has made geographic borders superfluous. Feel free to send me a good resolution image. I’ll try my hand at sketching you in Diwali vacations.

Why don’t you put them on a canvas and try creating a business out of it?

My blog name says it all …I have no business acumen. Canvas as in? Who would buy it?

Really? I’m delighted. But there are umpteen photos available of these guys, so why would their sketch carry any weightage?
Years ago in college, we had an exhibition so I gave them the Madhubala sketch. Later, the organizer lied that he misplaced it …I flatter myself that he kept it for himself. I had to re-sketch it for my collection.

Yes, really. The creativity counts and your sketches speak a lot.
If you would have given any of the above ones to me, i would have kept it also (especially of Ash :P)

Beautiful sketches. Except Aishwarya Rai, I have no idea who the others are. I assume they are movie people.

Yes, Indian models turned India’s filmi people. I’ve written their names below their images. Milind and Rampal used to be India’s male supermodels.
